An article just came out yesterday that it’s taking 3 - 4 months for renewals to be processed. Once I get my record locator that the passport has been processed, I’ll reach out to my congressperson’s office so that they can expedite my passport back to me. I also paid postage for overnight delivery BACK to me. I sent my passport (and triple checked the check was attached) on July 14. No dice on getting a room credit because I booked the resort through a travel agency. I didn’t want to chance getting in/out the country with a passport that expired in < 6 months so I just canceled my flight. I did not receive the letter until July 13 (I live in Houston and the agency is 3 hours away in Irving so it should’ve been a 2 - 3 day mailing) and my flight to Jamaica left on July 15. ![]() They wrote me on July 4 stating application could not be processed due to “fees not received”. I can think of 30 things they could do to make everyone's lives easier but. If it is not, you'll see nothing happen at all via credit card or services.Īll in all. If it is, your bank account will get charged and you can be assured of maybe a few weeks early if you're lucky. However they don't charge your card right then and there - they check if it's even possible at all. Expedited service may make it about 4 weeks earlier currently and will run you an additional $78 or so (I forget the exact number but that's about correct). Here's some additional info (that you didn't ask for) - they're currently stating it's 18 weeks from when it arrives at their office (meaning in my case, that would be the 05/14 date and NOT the 06/04 date). The guy was super friendly and set me up with (possible) expedited services. I was on hold today starting around 10am for 2 hours and 48 mins. This morning I did the above system and got through after about 4 attempts which I was surprised by. I tried all day yesterday with similar experiences as those on this thread (calling 87, pressing 1 three times, listening to the robot for 30 seconds and then busy signal, repeat steps till I was bored of doing so). I wanted to contact and see if I could add in expedited services (to do so you have to call, no other way). ![]() According to the passport services online, they processed it / put it in their system on 06/04. I submitted my passport application on 05/10 it arrived at their office via mail on 05/14. ![]() Thought I better record my experience for those of you curious on this subject. ![]() First rep said I need to be helped by some other part of agency, second rep says "oh, my computer is down, I have to transfer you to someone else." Then WHY answer the phone in the first place? I am so frustrated. Will update with developments.3 and half hours later, still on the phone and no further progress. I am really nervous it's been lost within the agency. Predicted wait time is over 90 minutes! I sent in my renewal over 4 weeks ago and they haven't cashed check or logged in the application on the status page!ĥ/7/21 Sent mine by USPS tracking5/13/21 USPS tracking confirms delivery6/14/21 Nothing, zero, zilch on status page. When I finally get through, the prompts continue. Took repeated calls and going through the prompts many times to get to a hold position instead of busy. ![]() The majority of the weapons feel useful but the ACR and MP7 seem to have a distinct power advantage. It could help if the "detailed stats" page was updated with each attachment so you didn't have to use guess work with the bar graphs. Though the way the stat bars go red/green makes things look Dramatically impactful but when you're done, the bars look more what you expect. In comparison to Gunsmith on modern Call of Duty, this game has a clear indication of the positive/negative aspects of each attachment choice. ![]() The simple weapon attachment system is a nice statement of intent with the simplicity of the game. I quite enjoy the arcade-like nature of the movement and gunplay, it feels good overall and when the animations are polished it will probably visually look more coherent. Player movement feels fast and responsive without feeling weightless or have the stupid slide-cancelling obsession that came in MW2019. There have been a few times where I feel like I've died a split second before I could react to what's on screen. Bullets seem to have a good hit detection rate though there does seem to be a slight tick-rate delay when it comes to shooting around corners or jumping around corners. The shooting feels mostly solid with the only real jankiness being the fast reload animations. The moment-to-moment gameplay feels pretty reminiscent of the era between Modern Warfare 3 for Xbox 360 and Black Ops 3. I will include a TLDR at the bottom while the text is to give more context on what I think and why. For the record, I'm playing on Xbox Series X with a Controller. ![]() So I wanted to share my feedback on what's available just now. Having a fair amount of experience with F2P games and shooters, it's something I definitely have years of experience in. After I tried out high mobility builds in the game, it was hard to go back.I've hit level 10 on the XDefiant Closed Cross-play test and have been following this game since its announcement. Compared to weapons like the M4A1, you’ll be flying around the map in XDefiant. We also have the Collapsed Stock for even more mobility. ![]() We have the Quick Mag for faster reloads and more ammo capacity. All three of these pieces will work well together to ensure balance.įor the other two additions, there are no negatives to worry about on the MP7. Then we add the Grip Tape to balance out the recoil recovery losses. This comes at the cost of some spread accuracy and recoil recovery. The Lightweight Barrel and the Superlight rail are going to improve the ADS speed and overall movement speed that you have. Three of the attachments on the list have some negatives with hefty positives. I found that using minimalistic attachments with low negatives works best on a weapon like this. Most of the additions will be based on mobility with some subtle control buffs. XDefiant – Best MP7 Buildīecause this submachine gun has such great base stats, we don’t have to go overboard with the corrections on attachments. All we have to do is add some good supporting attachments and we have ourselves a scary build to sprint around the map with. Just like other shooters, the MP7 offers up base stats that allow the weapon to be incredibly mobile while retaining control and damage. However, some weapons are clearly reaching the top of their class, and it’s the MP7 that has quicklu become popular in the submachine gun category. Nearly every weapon currently in XDefiant has the potential to wipe out the enemy team in the right hands and deliver players some crazy streaks. ![]() Not only do they help some people sleep soundly, they can also help you decrease the time it takes to fall asleep when used in a nighttime routine regularly, Dr. Sound machines, which may play digitally recorded noises or rely on an internal fan to create a whirring sound, help drown out other noises that can keep you up at night (or simply be an alternative to total silence). Along with avoiding stimulating activities and screens before bed and creating a dark, cool, quiet environment for sleep, sound is also a part of good sleep hygiene. Some turn to natural sleep aids, while others might consider investing in one of the best sound machines. With that in mind, you’d likely do anything to get a better night’s sleep. Not only is your body resting, but proper sleep also promotes brain health, helps your ability to fight infections, and leads to improved mood and better performance the next day, according to Jay Guevarra, M.D., assistant professor of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Many people find that incorporating white noise into their nightly routine can contribute to a more relaxed and restful night's sleep. There’s a reason you feel amazing after a deep, full night of sleep. It's not hard to find a white noise machine and or white noise app that meets your needs - some white noise machines even have options for pink or brown noise (more on those in a moment). ![]() You don't need to hunt down an old school radio to summon those masking sounds. This masking effect can help prevent sudden noises from waking you up and lead to longer periods of undisturbed deep sleep. When individuals are exposed to white noise sounds while sleeping, the soothing and consistent background noise helps mask disruptive sounds, such as traffic or other disturbances. A constant sound akin to radio static has been found to have potential benefits for promoting a better night's sleep and improving sleep quality. Sleep experts and researchers have studied the relationship between white noise and sleep. The voice next-door makes it 1,001 voices, and your brain can't pick it out any more. So when you turn on a fan to create white noise, you are essentially creating a source of 1,000 voices. It turns out that 1,000 people talking together sounds a lot like white noise. ![]() However, if 1,000 people are talking simultaneously, there is no way that your brain can pick out one voice. If three people are talking simultaneously, your brain can probably still pick out one voice. Your brain can normally "pick out" one of the two voices and actually listen to it and understand it. Let's say two people are talking at the same time. Why does that work? Why does white noise drown out voices? Rain sound machines come in various shapes and sizes, but they generally have a speaker that plays pre-recorded rain sounds or uses a built-in generator that imitates the sound of rain. The fan or a humming air conditioner can approximate white noise fairly well. Unlike many rain sound apps, creating your perfect sounding rain noise with Sound Machine is quick and easy, without sacrificing customization. ![]() If you are in a hotel and voices from the room next-door are leaking into your room, you might turn on a whirring fan to drown out the voices. Plus, the Sound Machine apps sounds are all built to loop seamlessly on top of each other, creating endless rainy patterns that never repeat. Because white noise contains all frequencies, it is frequently used to mask other sounds. Are there just no rules in Romania? The American studio system has safeguards in place to prevent content this sexist, this repugnant, this hysterically deluded about its own rightness to ever reach the public. Fortified by verisimilitude that writer Isa Mazzei carried over from her days as a sex worker, directed with neon-laced sleekness by Daniel Goldhaber, and credited as “a film by” the two of them, it’s an inventive and cerebral addition to the recent American horror boom. Her frantic maneuvers to secure her livelihood and sense of self climax in a semiotically loaded grand finale that can stand up to the most chilling setpieces of the new millennium. Go-getter cam girl Alice (Madeline Brewer, reinforcing the Lynch comparison with a star-making performance that channels both Naomi Watts and Laura Harring) starts to unravel after she sees someone broadcasting from her channel using her name and her face, who is nonetheless not her. In this cyber-thriller, the commonplace annoyances of working on the Internet - getting back in to a locked account, dealing with trolls, thirsting for numerical affirmations of your output - assume an uncanny existential terror in league with the eldritch fever dreams of David Lynch. Below, we attempt to rank every single Netflix original movie through 2020 (excluding documentaries, in the interest of this list remaining … bingeable). But it’s produced some genuinely good films, as well - as we speak, both Da 5 Bloods and Mank are both contending for Oscar action. These days, Netflix is made up of a fair amount of movies that attain mere forgettability instead of outright awfulness. Since then, Netflix has bagged an Oscar, elbowed its way into Cannes, and spent more than Panama’s gross national product on content. The second film they released was the one where a donkey explosively sharts all over Adam Sandler. It’s a real movie, and by my count, a pretty good one. And so Netflix exec Ted Sarandos made a dignified selection for his first narrative go on the silver screen: Beasts of No Nation, a movie about child militias in Africa, with a well-pedigreed creative team (Cary Fukunaga was comin’ in hot off his True Detective stint, Idris Elba was a brand-name star) and their according awards potential.
